There is only one small defect : on the top of the bag, under the top handle, there is a light scratch about 3/8's of an inch in length. You have to move the handle to see it clearly, and to me it doesn't show with the handle upright.

The bag is made from Italian smooth Red Currant leather and accented with gold hardware. There is a slip pocket on the front of the bag that holds a love letter card/slot wallet. The card wallet is detachable. The bag has a double tab zip-around closure. There are feet on the bottom of the bag.

The interior is lined in faille fabric. The interior back wall has a snap tab closure pocket. On the opposite interior wall are three card slot pockets.
