These were the ms201t of their day, the climbers saw of choice. This one's an early model as can be identified by the white hand guard and the 1/4 pitch chain, later models had a black guard and 3/8 picco chain. It's got 2 faults, one is the choke lever is snapped, the other is that it needs a carb kit.
I have the kit, somewhere.... It got put on the shelf and customers work got prioritised and it stayed there looking pretty until today when i finally agreed with the missus that the shelf could be better utilised than as a display area. If i find the carb kit i'll throw it in as well. Mechanically the saw is fine, loads of compression, good spark etc, it would start and run a few years back when i last tried but wouldn't run happy, a quick look showed a diaphragm that looked like it was made of leather rather than rubber, im 99% certain she'd come back just fine with nothing more than those two things.
To be onest, i'd like to have kept her and got her right myself but i've not got around to it in several years so it's unlikey i ever will, she's best off with a new collector who'll either find the time or make a space on their shelf for her.
